Roxas-Poe ticket very unlikely, says Sotto
Sen. Vicente Sotto III, who would support Sen. Grace Poe if she runs for President, thinks there is little chance she would agree to be the running mate of Interior Secretary Mar Roxas.
Roxas is still without a vice presidential partner and fellow Liberal Party members want him to team up with Poe.
But Sotto believes Poe would not run for vice president because her good friend, Sen. Chiz Escudero, was eyeing the same post.
“I don’t see Grace running against Chiz,” Sotto said on the phone.
Poe and Escudero are discussing the possibility of running in next year’s polls.
Escudero, interviewed by Radyo Inquirer, said that if ever he would run for a higher post, it would be for vice president.

He said he thought that at this point, many continued to be for a Poe and Escudero ticket.
He also said the NPC was unlikely to make any major decisions this August, which the Chinese consider a “ghost month” and which some believe might not bode well for their moves.
The major political moves could be expected in September, Sotto said.
