DOJ to probe One Dream scam
The Department of Justice has created a panel of prosecutors to conduct the preliminary investigation of the alleged investment scam involving officers and founders of One Dream Marketing Inc.
The panel is composed of state prosecutors Susan Villanueva, Rohaira Lao and Mary Ann Parong, according to an order issued on Wednesday by Prosecutor General Claro Arellano.
Named respondents in the syndicated estafa complaint were One Dream president and chief executive officer Arnel Gacer; vice president Jobelle de Guzman; incorporators Ariel Gacer, Richard Ramos and Jay-Ar de Guzman, and management team members Marlon de Guzman, Judith Itoh, Lui de Guzman, Linda de Guzman and Joel de Guzman.
The case was filed by 18 Lipa City residents who claimed to have invested in One Dream a total of P3.3 million.
They said in their complaint that prospective investors were promised a P10-percent a day return of investment or a 300-percent monthly profit.
