Rain, bad weather forecast over Mindanao

Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms due to an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the weather bureau said Wednesday.

The ITCZ is a weather system where winds from different directions merge and is a potential breeding ground for low pressure areas.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Light to moderate winds from the east will prevail over Northern Luzon while wind from the northeast going east will blow over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
