“Wow na wow naman ‘yun.”
That was the reply of Vice President Jejomar Binay on Tuesday to one of the potshots made by President Benigno Aquino III against him in his sixth and last State of the Nation Address (Sona).
Binay issued the statement even after admitting that he was not the one being alluded to by Aquino.
Wow na wow naman ‘yun,” Binay said in an interview with reporters.
In his speech, Aquino slammed contrarians who refused to recognize the gains in his “straight path” policy.
Kapag sila raw ang naging pangulo, sigurado, gaganda ang buhay,” Aquino said on Monday.

Binay has earlier said that he will also conduct an alternate Sona where he will debunk the claims made by the administration.
In his speech which lasted more than two hours, Aquino extolled members of the Cabinet for their contributions to the administration, except Binay, who resigned from the Cabinet to launch an all-out offense against the government.
Aquino also made references to Binay’s previous statements, such as his “one to sawa” remark on easing term limits and his “manhid and palpak” (bumbling and insensitive) attack against the administration.
