Binay declines to give Sona reaction

/ 08:13 PM July 27, 2015

VICE President Jejomar Binay on Monday declined to give a reaction to President Benigno Aquino III’s last State of the Nation Address (Sona) that was strewn with rebuttals of his previous tirades and startling claims against the Chief Executive.

After the speech, Binay only told reporters “Pakinggan niyo na lang ang State of the Nation namin.”

Reporters and cameramen tried to go after him outside the plenary hall but the Vice President insisted: “Makinig na lang kayo sa response ko in due time, okay?”

Aquino had criticized Binay’s “manhid” and “palpak” comment, Binay’s United Nationalist Alliance party slogan “Gaganda ang buhay,” and the Vice President’s comment about a “one to sawa” provision in the Constitution to allow a candidate to run for multiple terms.
