A dental technician from Marikina City looks forward to opening his own laboratory after he took home the close to P36-million jackpot prize of the Mega Lotto 6/45.

The 42-year-old father of two is the lone player to correctly pick the winning combination 09-25-26-28-29-42 in the lottery’s July 20 draw. He won exactly P35,836,228.

When he claimed his prize at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) head office in Mandaluyong City on Friday, the winner said he would use his winnings to pay up his debts.

He added that after investing a portion of the prize to set up his own dental laboratory, which produces dentures, among others, he would save the rest for his children’s future, noting that he has been raising them alone since his marriage fell apart a few years back.

The winner has been working as a dental technician for two decades now.

The winner, who only bought two tickets, told PCSO General Manager and Vice Chair Jose Ferdinand Rojas II that he has been playing the lottery for 19 years before finally hitting the jackpot prize.

He added that he got his winning combination from the age and birth dates of his family members.
