‘Goring’ leaves PAR

Typhoon “Goring” (international name: Halola) has left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Saturday morning, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4:30 a.m. weather bulletin that Goring was already outside PAR and was located 1,040 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes.

It has maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph.

It is expected to continue moving northwest at 15 kph.

It entered PAR on Thursday but did not directly affect any part of the country. IDL
