BLASTED FISH SEIZED IN COMPOSTELA

AT LEAST 14 boxes of blasted “toloy” fish were seized yesterday in Compostela town, northern Cebu.

The boxes of fish worth P28,000 were loaded in a truck that came from Compostela town.

The fish may have came from Samar province, said Joeffrey Merencillo, coordinator of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Fishing Task Force.

Police said 48 boxes of fish were found in the truck but only 14 were tested positive for dynamite.

The fishes were examined by personnel of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
