INC crisis: Suspended minister urges gov’t intervention

A SUSPENDED minister of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) said he believed that there are 10 other ministers and manggagawa (a step before being ordained as Ministers) who were abducted.

Isaias Samson Jr., also former editor-in-chief of Pasugo, INC’s official publication, said a government intervention in the crisis of the INC would be a big help.

At a press conference Thursday, Samson said some of the ministers and manggagawa were being held at the Rosalia Compound in Tandang Sora.

Samson specifically cited the case of Boyet Menorca who was picked up by the military in Sorsogon then taken to Dasmariñas, Cavite where he was charged with illegal possession of explosives.

“May dala raw syang granada,” Samson said.

He said the other ministers and manggagawa abducted were taken to Camp Caringal in Quezon City.

Katunayan, meron pa sila ngayong ginagawang masama tulad ng pag-abduct sa ilang ministro at manggagawa ng Iglesia…I do not know bakit ,” he added.

But Samson said he does not know the extent of police and military involvement.

I do not know kung bakit sila nagkaganoon at kung bakit sila nagkaroon ng ganong connivance…Ang Iglesia, hindi ganyan ang aral,” he said.
