The Ministry of Transportation and Communications, predecessor of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 546, which was signed by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos on July 23, 1979. The main NTC office is on BIR Road in Diliman, Quezon City.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research and Paulo Antonio Baylon
