‘Madam’ jailed after Taguig bust

05:52 AM July 22, 2015

A 44-year-old woman listed among Taguig City’s most wanted drug suspects was arrested in a buy-bust operation Monday night.

Recovered from Mardie Talampas, alias “Madam,” of Barangay (village) Napindan, were nine sachets of suspected “shabu” worth P180,000.

She was entrapped in a transaction on Labao Street in Napindan. No. 8 among the city’s most wanted, Talampas had long been known to be a drug pusher in the village, according to Senior Supt. Arthur Asis, the city’s  chief of police.

She remained in detention on Tuesday.–Kristine Felisse Mangunay
