Two Chinese nationals were arrested on Friday after the police seized “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride worth P1.8 million during an entrapment operation in Pasig City.
Businessmen Warrick Tan Ngo, 36, and Jeremy Loping Chua, 42, were placed under the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency RO3 Jail Facility in San Fernando, Pampanga.
PDEA said the two, along with their cohort Roel Pedro, were arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Friday as they sold 500 grams of shabu placed inside a “self-sealing plastic bag” to an undercover PDEA agent inside a lodge hotel room in Barangay (village) Ugong.
Operatives also seized a digital weighing scale and a black Hyundai Tucson with plate number ZTB-325.
The suspects will be charged for violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. YG
