Vice President Jejomar Binay’s filing of a libel case against his critics is a sign that he is already panicking, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said on Monday.
Trillanes was included in the libel case filed by Binay before the Makati Regional Trial Court.

Also named respondents in the case were Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales, Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano and the Philippine Daily Inquirer, among others.
“Nagpapakita lang ito na nagpapanic na si VP Binay kaya sinusubukan na lang nyang takutin ang mga umuusig sa kanya,” (It only shows that VP Binay is already panicking. That’s why he’s trying to scare those going after him) Trillanes said in a statement.
“Gayunpaman, haharapin natin itong kasong ito sa korte at ipagpapatuloy pa rin namin ang pagbubunyag sa mga katiwaliang ginawa nya,” (Nevertheless, we will face this case in court and we will continue to expose his irregularities) the senator added.
It was Trillanes who initiated the Senate probe into corruption allegations against Binay.
