Drilon, Pimentel: No to lifting term limits, yes to anti-dynasty law

Instead of lifting the term limits of elected officials, Senate President Franklin Drilon prefers to push for the passage of the proposed anti-dynasty bill.

“No I am not in favor of the term-lifting limits,” Drilon said in a text message to reporters on Friday.

“I want to strengthen the term limitations by pushing instead the anti-dynasty bill, in order to comply with the constitutional mandate and plug the loophole in the term limits set by law,” he added.
