The Manila Police District’s (MPD) District Anti-Illegal Drugs Division (DAID) is already preparing the case to be filed against 2 men arrested in a buy-bust operation in Ermita, Manila, Friday that yielded P500,000 worth of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

Arrested were Mohammad Baman and Amerudin Canapi. They will be subjected to an inquest proceeding Friday.

An inquest is a summary investigation conducted by a public prosecutor in a criminal case involving a person arrested and detained without the benefit of a warrant of arrest for the purpose of determining whether the person should remain under custody and be charged in court.
