No number coding, passport services on Friday, July 17

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that number coding will be lifted on Friday, July 17, in observance of the Eid’l Fitr or Feast of Ramadan.

In an advisory posted on its social media pages, MMDA said the scheme would be suspended in all cities and municipalities in Metro Manila tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said there would be no passport and other consular services in all of its offices on Friday.

“Passport applicants for DFA-Aseana and mall-based satellite offices who have scheduled appointments on July 17 will be accommodated from July 20 to 24 upon presentation of proof of their respective appointments,” DFA added.

DFA said operations at its Aseana branch at Macapagal Boulevard will resume on July 20.

July 17 has been declared a regular nonworking holiday by President Benigno Aquino III through Proclamation No. 1070.

“The entire Filipino nation should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr,” the proclamation read. YG
