Army colonel shot, injured in Cagayan de Oro City
DAVAO CITY, Philippines — An Army officer was injured when he was shot by two men riding tandem on a motorcycle in Barangay Bulua in Cagayan de Oro City around 8 a.m. Thursday.
Initial military reports said that Col. Edwin Respicio of the 10th Regional Community Defense Group, was driving his car past the Department of Public Works and Highways office when still unidentified gunmen opened fire on him.
Respicio sustained an injury on his face but had been declared in stable condition at a hospital.
The military said police authorities have started their investigation to identify the attackers and determine their motive.
