ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Four suspected drug dens were demolished Thursday in two separate operations in two barangay (villages) in this city as part of the Oplan Limpyo Barangay Charlie (Oplan LinisBarangay Charlie) Task force Molo-9.
Three illegal structures allegedly used as drug dens were demolished in Barangay West Habog-habog at 9 a.m. and another one in Calumpang at 3 p.m. Thursday in Molo district this city.
Arrested in Calumpang were Angelo Pasuquin, 29, and married; and Randy Rodriguez, alyas Botitoy, 44 years old, and single. Both are residents of Zone 3 of the same barangay.
The operation was led by Philippine Drug Enforcement-6 (PDEA) Director Paul Ledesma; the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) director, Senior Supt. Kashmir Disomangcop; the task force commander, Supt. Kim Legada; and Molo police chief, Chief Insp. Rio Maymay.
Ledesma said the operation was made possible through the cooperation between the PDEA and the PNP.
Maymay said the arrested persons were under their drugs watchlist in the area.
Pasuquin and Rodriguez are now detained at Molo PNP detention cell for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 or RA 9165.
