Suspected drug pusher nabbed in Iloilo buy-bust

A suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Cabatuan town, Iloilo, on Tuesday afternoon.

Seized from Mark Anthony Quioyo, 35, a resident of Barangay Banguit, Cabatuan, were three sachets of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), P500 in bust money and a marijuana plant that was about 11 feet tall.

Senior Insp. Engelbert Banquillo, Cabatuan police chief, said they had been monitoring Quioyo for several months after they received complaints of harassment by the suspect.

The suspect is currently detained at Cabatuan PNP detention cell and will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (R.A. 9165).
