Government work in Makati suspended; number coding lifted

Government work in Makati City was suspended Thursday afternoon amid heavy rain spawned by the “habagat” or southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon “Falcon.”

In an advisory posted on its social media pages, Makati’s information department said government work in the city will be suspended starting 2:00 p.m.

The number coding scheme in the city has also been suspended, the advisory added.

Falcon maintained its strength and slightly accelerated midday Thursday, bringing moderate to heavy rain over Luzon and the Visayas. YG
