More than a thousand students graduated in Parañaque City after they completed technical-vocational courses taught in a city-supported institution.

In a recent statement, the city’s public information office said the Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office/Parañaque Skills Training Center has produced 1028 graduates of courses that include dressmaking, electrical installation, maintenance and hairdressing.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the graduates “can now look forward to landing decent high paying jobs or even start their own businesses and subsequently realize their dreams for a better life.”

According to Olivarez, the tech-voc graduates played an important role in helping “spur economic activities not only in Parañaque City but in the entire country as well.”

He also praised the PLRMO/PSTC for what he said was its “steadfast commitment to produce thousands of quality graduates whose skills are comparable if not better than the graduates from other trade schools in other parts of the country.”

“We believe in your capacity to improve and fix your lives further now that you will use what you learnt from our skills and vocational trainings in the best way,” 1st District Rep. Eric Olivarez, the mayor’s brother, said. TVJ
