Senate sub-panel subpoenas Limlingan’s brother

SENATOR Antonio Trillanes IV trained his gun on Tuesday at Gerry Limlingan’s brother who he said is now acting as the latter’s “proxy.”

Limlingan, finance officer and alleged dummy of Vice President Jejomar Binay, has been ordered arrested and detained by the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee for repeatedly snubbing its hearings. Until now, however, the Senate sergeant-at-arms could not locate him.

But at the continuation of the hearing of the subcommittee, Trillanes said that based on his information, Limlingan’s brother, Vic, is now acting as the latter’s proxy and has been in constant communication with Binay’s aide.

On Trillanes’ motion, the subcommittee decided to issue a subpoena on the brother.

“Magandang matanong natin si Mr. Vic Limlingan and at the same time, pinag aaralan na rin namin, actually we’d be requesting the Anti-Money Laundering Council to look up the money trail of Vic Limlimngan’s holding company, the Regina Capital dahil doon apparently pina-park ang pera ni Vice President Binay…” the senator said.

Trillanes said the subcommittee might also inquire from the Philippine Securities Exchange about the companies of Vic Limlingan.

“Kasi I understand itong si Mr. Vic Limlingan made a very substantial investment even sa DMCI to earn him a seat sa board. So siguro makikita natin kung sino yung mga investors ni Mr. Vic Limlingan,” the senator said.
