Variety store owner in S. Kudarat claims P80M lotto jackpot prize

A sari-sari (variety) store owner from Sultan Kudarat has now more than enough business capital after she claimed on Monday the more than P80-million 6/42 jackpot prize.

The 43-year-old mother of two is the sole player to correctly guess the winning combination 19-05-42-17-22-14 in the June 25 draw of the Lotto 6/42. She took home exactly P80,646,432.

The winner told Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Vice Chair and General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II that she and her husband would invest her winnings in a business. She, however, did not disclose the nature of the business they would invest their money in.

Rojas said the winner also intended to share her prize with her siblings, while saving the rest for the family and her children’s needs.

When she claimed her prize at the agency’s head office, she also told Rojas that she has been playing the lottery for 15 years and only bought two tickets to win the jackpot prize. She added that her winning numbers came from the birth dates and ages of her family.
