Another cement mixer causes heavy traffic along C5 Ortigas southbound lane

MANILA, Philippines — Another concrete mixer was involved in a road accident, just hours after a one figured in an accident along C5 Tuesday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

Charlie Nozares of the MMDA Metrobase said that a concrete mixer got into an accident with a taxi cab at around 10:20 a.m. along the southbound lane of C5 approaching Bagong Ilog.

Earlier on Tuesday, spilled cement from a concrete mixer which lay on its side along the northbound lane of C5 in Ortigas, just in front of Tiendesitas, snarled traffic in the area.

The cement mixer tipped on its side at around 5 a.m. after trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle, Rosulada said.

No one was injured in both accidents and the vehicles have been cleared as of posting time, said Nozares.

He however added that heavy traffic was being experienced on both southbound and northbound lanes of C5.
