Tropical storm “Egay” (international name: Linfa) maintained its straight while moving closer to Northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said early Saturday.
Public storm warning Signal No. 2 remained hoisted in Isabela and Northern Aurora, this time also affecting Quezon province.
The rest of Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Kalinga, Apayao, Abra, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan Group of Islands.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that as of 6 a.m., Egay was spotted at 360 kilometers east of Aurora.
Egay continued to pack maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 100 kph.
Yellow rain warning level was raised over Quezon. Light to moderate rains, however, are also being experienced in Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, Southern Leyte, Aurora, Isabela, Panay island, Cebu, Guimaras, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro. IDL
