US pollsters working for Binay

Makati Mayor Junjun Binay’s thick armor of callousness has been penetrated by “delicadeza” or propriety when he stepped down to give way to the suspension order from the Office of the Ombudsman.

Anyway, he had no choice but to do that because sooner than later the police would have stormed into his office and carried him bodily into the streets to implement the order.

Binay and his father, Vice President Jojo Binay, his alleged partner in crime in the allegedly overpriced Makati City Science High School building, had been sleeping in the Makati mayor’s office to prevent the suspension order from being carried out.

The elder Binay, a lawyer, must have been advised by fellow lawyers to obey the Ombudsman’s suspension order as their popularity is waning because of his son’s refusal to heed the order.

But it’s now too late. Even their rabid supporters have realized they’re not fit for public office because of their arrogance.

What the people saw was what the Binays are capable of doing should their patriarch, Jojo, become President of the Republic.

They’re not yet in power but they’re already so arrogant and power-hungry.

For five years now, Jojo Binay has hired the services of US President Barack Obama’s pollsters to make his popularity ratings high, according to a very reliable source.

Here are excerpts of an e-mail my source received from his American friend, another pollster:

“VP JJ has been working with Obama’s pollsters, Joel Benenson and Pete Prodnitz, for quite sometime in the Philippines.

“They have a completely professional operation in place and a sophisticated strategy.

“Interestingly, their research is showing voters REALLY don’t like Mar (Roxas), his style and the way his personality comes off.

“Thought you should know this.”

No wonder, Binay’s popularity ratings are  going down, but not at a fast clip, despite the accusations of corruption and plunder  against him and his family.

Benenson and Prodnitz, according to my source, don’t come cheap, so Binay must be paying them a fortune every month.

The Vice President’s confronting and collaring policemen serving his son’s suspension order was an act of  derring-do only seen in the movies.

Of course, he was playing to the gallery and the TV cameras.

If his bodyguards were taken away from him, he would not look as impressive or would hardly be noticed in a sea of people.

Binay has more than a platoon of Marine and police bodyguards.

Award-winning former child actor Jiro Manio, who has been reported to be hooked on drugs,  is now a hobo.

He lives on restaurant leftovers and food given by strangers, a far cry from the time he was a popular figure.

People who use drugs occasionally or who want to try drugs for kicks should learn from Manio and other movie stars and singers, one of them a very beautiful actress in her heyday, who have acquired a drug habit. Stop now before it’s too late.

To drug traffickers and pushers: Wait until Davao City Mayor Rody Duterte gets elected president.
