TO kick off the celebration of Senior Citizens Month this October, the Aboitiz Foundation conducted an optical and dental mission on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the barangay Pajo auditorium in Lapu-Lapu City.

A total of 200 senior citizens from the 19 barangays in Lapu-Lapu availed of free eye consultations from the Executive Optical. They also received eyeglasses.

Another 200 scholars under the foundation’s Street Urban Working Children program received free dental checkup and tooth extraction from volunteer dentists from the Philippine Dental Association-Mandaue City Chapter and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The project was in coordination with the Lapu–Lapu City health department, Department of Social Welfare and Development and barangay health workers from the 19 barangays.
