Realtors to hold national confab

THE Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards Inc. (PAREB), in coordination with PAREB-Cebu, will hold its 51st annual national convention and election of officers on Oct. 6, 7 and 8 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City.

The convention, with the theme “PAREB: Committed to professional excellence,” will have Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr, chairman of the Committee on Urban Planning, Housing and  Resettlements, as the keynote speaker.

The senator will speak about the developments on the housing industry.

Eduardo Ong, chairman of the Philippine Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service, will discuss professionalization through integration of real estate service industry.

International speakers will present the practice of real estate in the Asean market.

They are Jeff  Foo, immediate past president of the Institute of Estate Agents, Singapore; K Soma Sundram, immediate past president of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents; and Prof. Enrique Soriano, president of AA Real Estate (Advisory Asia) and faculty member of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

Other topics are the computerization of the records of the Land Registration Authority and the Register of Deeds and corporate formation and issues  involving real estate.

The latest Multiple Listing Service will also be launched during the convention.
