A 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur at 2:58 p.m. on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The quake centered about nine kilometers west of Cortes town and occurred at a shallow depth of eight kilometers.
It was felt at Intensity III in the town of Cantilan, Intensity II in Carrascal, both in Surigao del Sur, and Intensity I in Claver, Surigao del Norte.
