Did you know: Juan Flavier birthday

Today, June 23, is the 80th birthday of the late Sen. Juan Flavier. Born in 1935, Flavier came up with several landmark projects as health secretary from 1992 to 1995. He also served two terms as senator from 1995 to 2007. Flavier died on Oct.  30, 2014. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
