JUSTICE Secretary Leila de Lima remains coy on question if she would run for senator next year.
The Justice Chief ranked 7-14 in the recent Pulse Asia survey, tied with Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
With this development, de Lima said the more she needs to seriously think about whether to run or not.
“With such result, that should be a really big factor for me, the more reason I should seriously think of the matter in terms of trying to decide soon on whether it is a go for me or not,” de Lima told reporters.
Senate President Franklin Drilon and Budget Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad already said de Lima is on the list of those being considered to run for senator by the administration’s Liberal Party.
But de Lima said the LP leaders have not talked to her yet. AC
