/ 05:25 AM June 22, 2015

Two policemen from the Quezon City police’s anti-illegal drugs unit were wounded on Saturday when the suspect in a drug bust operation sensed a trap and shot them.

However, Rudolf Albert Jaramilla, 61, a retired Customs employee, eventually gave himself up to barangay (village) officials.

Arrested with Jaramilla were Shalimar Oro and Eugene Tan who were in the suspect’s house on Palali Street, Barangay Siena. They were accused of conspiring with him to sell drugs.

The antidrugs unit had been monitoring Jaramilla after they received information a month ago that he was selling methamphetamine hydrochloride, or “shabu,” in Barangay Siena and nearby areas, said District Anti-Illegal Drugs (DAID) head Chief Insp. Robert Razon.
