No damage, casualties reported from Davao Occidental quake
No damage was reported from the magnitude-5.8 earthquake that struck Davao Occidental early Tuesday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.
“There were no reported damage and casualties,” NDRRMC spokesperson Romina Marasigan said by phone.

The tectonic quake jolted 136 kilometers east of Sarangani at 5:04 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The tremor had a depth of 130 kilometers. Intensity II was felt in General Santos City and Koronadal City.
Aftershocks were expected from the quake, Phivolcs said.
