Cebu Pacific denies plane crash in Sultan Kudarat

Cebu Pacific Air denied reports that one of its planes crashed in Esperanza town in Sultan Kudarat province on Sunday.

In a statement on its website, Cebu Pacific Air said that all of its planes are “accounted for.”

​“No flight involved in reported incident in Sultan Kudarat today. All flights accounted for,” the airline said.

Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Deputy Director General Rodante Joya was quoted in a radio interview saying that all commercial planes going to General Santos City have been accounted for.

“We have already checked with the airlines. They said that all their flights and airplanes have been accounted for,” Joya said.

Local radio reports said that a plane allegedly crashed in the said town at around 11 a.m.

Sultan Kudarat Provincial Police is still investigating the incident. AJH/DPL
