MANILA, Philippines — Police commissioned officers in the Philippine National Police have until next month to file their application for the Police Executive Service Eligibility.
The National Police Commission said police officials with the rank of chief inspector and higher, with a permanent appointment status could file their PESE applications from June 15 to July 31.
The PESE written examination will be conducted on August 23 in Quezon City, Cebu City and Davao City.
Napolcom vice chairperson Eduardo Escueta said the PESE is an eligibility requirement for promotion to the third level ranks of senior superintendent, chief superintendent, director, deputy director general and director general.
“The PESE eligibility process has two phases, the written examination and validation interview. It contains analytical questions on police leadership and police values to get the cream of the crop in the police service,” Escueta said.
Passers of the written examination are eligible to proceed to the validation interview.
The written examination focuses on job knowledge, leadership competency, communication skills, analytical and logical reasoning, values and emotional quotient.
Application forms and index cards are available at the Napolcom central office or any regional office nationwide, and can be also downloaded at www.napolcom.gov.ph .
Applicants must pay an examination fee of P700 and file their application forms personally or mail it to any Napolcom regional office.
