A nurse at a hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, has been praised for breastfeeding a patient’s baby.
Kwong Wah Yit Poh reported that the baby boy’s mother was unable to breastfeed him after she was seriously injured in an accident a few days ago. The baby’s father died in the accident.
The nurse, known as Buakhao, started breastfeeding the infant when he refused to drink from the bottle.
After her selfless deed was uploaded on the hospital’s webpage, netizens called her a “real angel.”
Man postpones wedding to save lives
A man in China has postponed his wedding to join the search and rescue efforts of the Yangtze River cruise ship disaster.
Wang Xiao Hui, a member of the Beijing Blue Sky Rescue team, was dispatched together with 14 others to Hubei province a few days before his big day.
He was due to get married today in a ceremony that had been planned for six months.
His fiancee was “a little bit unhappy” but gave her blessings nonetheless.
She later sent messages to friends and family members to apologise for the postponement, adding that saving lives was far more important and meaningful. KS
