Two men broke into the house of Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada in Quezon City before dawn Saturday, police said.

Senior Police Officer 3 Clemente Arcilla of the Quezon City Police District Station 12 told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview that two robbers stormed the house of Estrada at Corinthian Hills in Quezon City past 3 a.m.

Arcilla said one of the robbers was arrested, while his companion managed to escape.

He said the arrested robber, who has yet to be identified, was brought to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City after people beat him up.

Arcilla, however, said the report remains sketchy as the victims have yet to file a complaint before the police.

Estrada is currently detained in the Custodial Center of the Philippine National Police in Camp Crame on graft and plunder charges in connection with his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam. IDL
