Pagasa warns of possible thunderstorms

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will be experienced over the whole country, the state weather bureau said on Thursday.

A ridge of high pressure area, associated with warm weather, is affecting Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

A heat index or the actual feel in one’s body, of 39.5 degrees Celsius, is forecast in Metro Manila.

Light to moderate winds coming from the east to southeast will prevail over the whole country, Pagasa said.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
