Malacañang Palace on Saturday announced President Benigno Aquino III’s latest appointments to various government posts here and abroad.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte made the announcement in an interview with state-run Radyo ng Bayan.
Amable Aguiluz V, former special envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council, was named special envoy of the President to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Joselito Jimeno, former ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and Leslie Baja, previously assistant secretary for European affairs, were nominated as ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Switzerland and Egypt, respectively.
Ifugao Gov. Dennis Habawel was appointed chair of the Cordillera Administrative Region’s Regional Peace and Order Council.
Victor Chiong was also named new board member of the National Electrification Administration.
Regina Antequisa and Ninian Sumadia were designated to the National Anti-Poverty Commission, representing the victims of disasters and calamities and the youth and students, respectively.
The following were also appointed commissioners of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos: Paisalin Tago, Jamel Dinil, Abdulwahid Inju and Analiza Flores-Malayang. They will serve for a term until March 7, 2018.
The Palace also named five new members of the Philippine National Oil Corp. Exploration Corp.’s board of directors: Rafael Iriarte, Ralph Pastor Salazar, Joseph Emnas, Fernando Zulueta and Fernando Barreiro. RC
