Poe: I’m loyal to my father’s moral beliefs, principles in governance

While she acknowledges Vice President Jejomar Binay’s allegiance to her father, Sen. Grace Poe says she is also loyal to the ideals her father has stood for.

“I am loyal too to my father’s moral beliefs and principles in governance and transparency,” Poe said in a text message on Friday.

Poe’s father was the late actor Fernando Poe Jr. who ran for the presidency in 2004 and lost to former President and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Binay served as the older Poe’s campaign manager.

Senator Poe has signed a draft report of the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee that reportedly recommended the filing of plunder charges against the Vice President and his son Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay, along with other personalities, over the alleged overpricing of the Makati City Hall 2 parking building.
