De Lima to UNA spokesman: It’s never my style to bootlick, I just do my job
“IT IS never my style to bootlick.”
This was the reaction of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima after she was accused of using her office to go against possible contenders of the Liberal Party in next year’s election.
United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) spokesman Atty. JV Bautista said de Lima is allowing her office to become the attack dog of the Liberal Party.
De Lima also disputed the alleged double standards in the department’s investigation on the pork barrel fund anomaly, justifying the delay in completing the third batch of cases.
Reports earlier came out that some of those included in the third batch of pork barrel scam cases belong to the ruling administration party.
Also, Bautista accused de Lima of allegedly allowing herself to be used by the ruling Liberal Party to advance her political plans.
“Not worth my while to respond to those tirades except to say that it’s never my style to bootlick. I just do my job,” de Lima said.
