A still unidentified suspect threw two grenades in front of the Navotas City Jail on Thursday morning, but only one of them exploded.

While one of the grenades exploded, the authorities were able to secure the other one.

“’Yung isang granada hindi sumabog, natanggal ‘yung pin kaya’t sinecure natin,” said Navotas City Mayor John Ray Tiangco in a report by Erwin Aguilon of Radyo Inquirer. (One of the grenades didn’t explode. The pin was already removed so we secured it right away.)

The explosion damaged the signage in front of the city jail and broke a portion of the glass window.
