Bacolod mayor refuses to enter plea on graft case

Former Bacolod Representative and now Mayor Monico Puentevella on Friday refused to enter a plea on graft charges before the Sandiganbayan.

Puentevella arrived at the anti-graft court around 8 a.m. for his arraignment.

In 2013, the Office of the Ombudsman found probable cause to indict Puentevella in connection with the purchase of allegedly overpriced and non-functional computers for public elementary and high schools in the city with the use of money from his pork barrel allocation while he was still a member of the House of Representatives.
