CPA exam results released; Chiang Kai Shek grad is topnotcher

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday that 2,132 out of 5,959 passed the Certified Public Accountant licensure examination given by the board of accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi earlier this month.

Eunice Millicent Ong Li of Chiang Kai Shek College topped the exam with the rating of 92.29 percent.

No. 2 placer was Shaun Anthony Tiu Go of the University of San Carlos, who garnered the rating of 91.29 percent.

Third placers were Jaecelle Margrett Go Dy of the University of San Carlos and Sharmaine Fernandez Sy of De La Salle University, both getting 90.86 percent.

The board of accountancy is composed of Joel L. Tan-Torres, Chairman; Eliseo A. Aurellado, Gerard B. Sanvictores, Gloria T. Baysa and Concordio S. Quisaot, Members.

Registration for the issuance of professional ID and certificate of registration will be on May 27-29, 2015, the PRC announced.

The PRC said those who will register are required to bring duly accomplished oath form or panunumpa ng propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), one passport-size photo (colored with white background and complete nametag), two sets of metered documentary stamps and one short brown envelope with name and profession.

The initial registration fee is P600 and annual registration fee is P450 for 2015-18, the PRC said.

It said successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony of the new successful examinees will be announced later, the PRC said.
