Roxas open to Mar-Poe tandem
INTERIOR Secretary Mar Roxas on Tuesday hinted that he is open to a “Mar-Poe” tandem with Senator Grace Poe in the 2016 presidential elections.
“Well, magalang naman akong tao, at kung nagpapakilala naman ako ang sinasabi ko ‘si Mar po,’” Roxas said on the sidelines of 106th Philippine Dental Association convention at SMX Convention in Pasay City.
He also confirmed that he had met with President Benigno Aquino III and Poe but declined to comment if they had discussed the Liberal Party’s plan for the 2016 presidential elections.
He said their recent discussion was a continuation of their talks with Aquino “before the Holy Week” last April.
Aquino admitted initiating talks with Poe, who has been ranking second in the latest polls, but he did not say whether he offered the lady senator to run as the president or vice president of the Liberal Party.

AC
