SIX domestic flights were canceled on Sunday because of typhoon Dodong (international name Noul).
Budget airline Cebu Pacific Air canceled its Manila-Laoag-Manila and Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila flights because of the cyclone.
According to its advisory, flights canceled were 5J 404 and 405 Manila to Laoag and vice-versa; as well as Manila to Tuguegarao and back flights 5J 504, 505, 506 and 507.
Cebu Pacific has assured passengers of the canceled flights that they will be accommodated into the soonest available flights or they can avail themselves of other options with no additional charge.
Passengers in affected flights may “rebook their flights for travel within 30 days from the original departure date or opt for full refund or travel fund.”
They can call the Cebu Pacific reservation hotlines for their preference.
On Sunday, Dodong whipped northern Luzon with 185 kilometers per hour maximum winds and gusts of 220 kph. Public storm warning signal 4 was hoisted over northeastern Cagayan, Batanes, Babuyan and Calayan group of islands while signal no. 2 and 3 were raised over Northern Aurora, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Apayao as well as parts of Cagayan, and Isabela. SFM/AC
