Netizens tag Veloso family ungrateful for slamming Aquino gov’t

Netizens took to social media their sentiments on the statements of Mary Jane Veloso’s family denying that President Benigno had a role to save her from execution in Indonesia.

Most netizens commented that Veloso’s family were ungrateful of the government’s efforts to spare her from execution.

Veloso, a migrant worker who was convicted for drug trafficking, was granted a temporary reprieve from execution by Indonesia last Wednesday. Eight other convicts were executed.

She also slammed the Department of Foreign Affairs from keeping them away from the media.

This is another disgusting behavior which a filipino may have. He was able to bend other nation’s law JUST BECAUSE OF YOUR DAUGHTER. Nasayang din ang Divine Intervention na hiniling ng mga Pilipino to save the ass of your daughter,” a certain Clyde Lester Lucero also said on Facebook.

A former member of Aquino’s communication team, Ricky Carandang, said he still has compassion for Veloso.

“Despite her attitude, I have some compassion for Mary Jane Veloso‘s mom. Under extreme stress, she was victimized by the militants,” he posted on Twitter.

“Naman kasi. Learn to be grateful din Mrs. Veloso. ANd must we blame all our problems on the government?” Janis Ian (@haohaoflakes) posted on Twitter. FM/AU
