Napolcom warns vs cheating at exams

The National Police Commission (Napolcom) warned more than 30,000 examinees who will take entrance and promotional examinations on Sunday not to cheat, or face the consequences.

Examinees found guilty of dishonesty risk being barred from taking the examinations permanently, according to Napolcom acting personnel and administrative service chief, Josephmar Gil.

If the offender is a policeman taking the promotional exam, the offender may face dismissal from service.

Policemen found cheating will be charged with dishonesty and dismissed from service if found guilty.

The Napolcom said 35,674 examinees are set to take the entrance and promotional examinations for the Philippine National Police on Sunday, April 26.

Napolcom Vice Chairperson Eduardo Escueta said 13,334 will take the PNP entrance examination while 22,340 will take the promotional examinations.

Sunday’s examinations will cover the qualifying examinations for Police Officer 1 and promotional examinations for Police Officers 2 and 3, Senior Police Officer 1 to 4, Police Inspector to Senior Inspector, and Police Superintendent.

The entrance examination includes questions on general information, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning; while the promotional examinations have questions on general information, police administration and operations, and police customs and tradition and ethics.

Entrance examinees should wear a plain white shirt, dark pants and shoes while those taking the promotional examinations are required to wear the general office attire type B, with field cap, no awards and medals, or the patrol shirt.
