Malacañang confirms appointment of Lina as new Customs chief
Malacañang confirmed on Thursday the appointment of Alberto Lina as the new commissioner of the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
Lina replaced former Customs Commissioner John Phillip Sevilla following his resignation on Thursday morning.

In a letter from Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa to Sevilla, Malacañang extended its “sincerest appreciation” for his hard work, time and devotion to the bureau.
In Lina’s appointment letter, the Palace said his appointment was coterminous with President Benigno Aquino III.
During the Arroyo administration, Lina served as head of the BOC but he resigned in 2005 during the “Hello Garci” scandal. RC
