According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, a total of 17,276 persons were apprehended by its Anti-Jaywalking Units in 2014. The figure is 74 percent lower than the 65,083 persons apprehended for jaywalking in 2013. Of the total jaywalkers in 2014, 12,852 attended a seminar and 2,184 paid a fine.
